So Confused!!!

by Mike
(Wichita, Kansas )

I just went to court today for the beging stages of the child support journey. And I have always questioned if I was the father of my son. So i asked the staff attorney for SRS if I could get a DNA test on my son. By the way he's 4 years old. And he told me that the state of Kansas would not pay for a DNA test cause I signed the birth certificate. But at the time I was so happy and excited about being a father. And now they won't do a DNA test. And everyone I know has always said I needed to get I but I am afraid that hes not mine. I don't care about paying child support I just don't wanna pay for a child that is mine. But I'm still going to be his father that will never change. What can I do?

DNA Required
by: Disabled Mom

Go to a private doctor and get the DNA test yourself, pay for it, get the receipt. Make copies and keep them safe. Present to the judge or attorney as applies to you, learn your rights for your state. Apply them patiently, persistently and politely. Don't accept "no" from anyone if you are the child's father. The DNA test will give you the rights you have by law and biology and if you are so blessed, please be a good father...the world needs caring parents, there are so few now. Did you see what getting the DNA test did for actress Anna Nicole Smith's (Vicki Lyn Hogan) little girl, DannieLynn?
