Step mom too
by: Anonymous

I am a stepmother to two kids me and my husband have custody their mom is court ordered to pay child support and hasn't.Recently she got a great job and the state garnished her wages so she quit. She not paid child support or had any medical insurance on the kids. She lies constantly. My step son is 9 with ADHD and emotional problems, he remembers her,my step daughter is 5 and only knows me as mommy. She post stuff on facebook and myspace saying how much she oves her kids, and that the state is doing her wrong cas they expect her to help support the kids.If it were on the other foot I believe my husband would be in jail.We are both very frustrated ....

Since she owes over $10k, she is eligible to be prosecuted for felony nonsupport. Advise your child support agency that you want this done.

Deadbeat moms are really worse than deadbeat dads.

She is supposed to pay that support anyway she can. If she is not working she is suppose to send a personal check to the agency and they will process it obviously as her payment.

Deadbeat Mom's
by: Anonymous

I too am a step-mother of a special needs child, whom my husband has custody of. She is still in school and her mother has just quit paying child support. The child is in a private school setting and the mother is court ordered to pay half of everything education wise, in addition to a small amount of actual child support. I want to know how I can get help collecting this. I do not want to spend $20,000 going back to court. I have a child support judgment in hand and just because I am able to go into debt to go back to court to enforce it, I am being told that is my only remedy. Does anyone know of another way?
