Stop the Father Abuse!

by Walter
(Honey Grove, Texas USA)

My ex-wife and I have been divorced for nearly 10 years. I paid my child support and visited with my daughters every chance I got. I was ordered to pay child support and did this and even bought school clothes and paid for graduation when the youngest finished high school.

My youngest was on SSI because of a cleft pallet and a repaired heart defect. She grew into a fine young lady and took special education classes in some of her subjects to help her through high school. When she graduated, the Social Security re-examined her and cut off the SSI because she was able to work and be self sustaining. The Texas Attorney General's office sent me a refund for overpayment of child support. You think you are finished at this point. NOT! My ex has never worked and when the SSI was cut off and my child support ended she was without an income.

Rather than be responsible she and my daughter (who held a job at the public library while in school) took me back to court two years later declaring that my daughter's heart was in trouble, I checked on this and proved it to be untrue so they went to MHMR and had my daughter declared schizophrenic and mildly retarded. Now I have been ordered to pay indefinite child support and provide insurance for the rest of her life. She will be 23 years old this August. I hired an attorney which only took my money and sat in court quite while I was railroaded by a referee that worked for the Attorney General's office for 20 something years.

I am always seeking for advice and help for me and my daughter. My ex is riding her back for support. They go to night clubs every weekend (male strip clubs also), and party and shop while I work myself into the ground. If anyone has advice that can help....please share. My e-mail is elizondo_w@yahoo.com. Thanks for the listen. W.

injustice in the CSEA
by: Anonymous

i too have been treated injustly by the CSEA and my ex. In my case my initial order of support was more than my actual monthly income was. This caused me to be in arears from the start. Then the mother refused to allow me to see my daughter. When i tried to discuss this with the CSEA they told me that is not their concern or problem. It seems strange that if i miss a payment then they haul me into court and i get a felony 4 charge for not support yet she can deny me of my rights as a parent and have no reprocutions for it. Why is it that our government will enforce a parents responsibilties but they do not have a department to enforce a parents rights. This shows me that all our government is really concerned with is money not rights or responsibilties just money. And as proof to that stamtement i offer this. I am currently on unemployment and have had a review done on my case and the support has been lowered. However they have yet to send notyification to unemployment of the deduction and there has now been an overpayment made in my support. When i discussed this with CSEA they informed me that i would not be getting that overpayed money back that instead it would be applied to my case. In the mean time im having to donate plasma to be able to feed the child i do have leaving with me , which I've made CSEA aware of.
