the courts wont listen or help
In Short, the mother of my oldest son I lived with til he was 4 then i had another son with same mother. well i left the state of ohio to go find work and found out i had a probation violation for a charge. anyway the mother files child support while i was in jail and in ohio they didnt notify me of court hearing instead i just kept getting hit with contempts. i never got to plea my case instead i got bound over to felony court and they went back to the day of my oldest sons birth and hit me with back support the whole time i was in jail. i knew nothing of this until i got out, i was 8,000 in back support so i started paying not seeing my boys, the mother gets her 2nd d.u.i and the courts didnt grant me temp custody. so i left the state again to move to maine while paying support. then i get hit with failiure to pay and get picked up by police and taken back to ohio and the judge orders i pay 847 a month and then i went back to prison the whole time 847 dollars rolling over i get out 3 yrs later and my back support is 41,000 while in prison i asked for it to be lowered and they said i voluntarily went to prison. and was still obligated to pay. well i paid 200 a month i get out living in alaska and out of the blue child support hits me again with failure to pay. even though i made efforts in prison. i go back to ohio and the judge puts 4 yrs over my head and 5 yrs probation orders i pay 1,200 a month. i only make 10 an hr and now they want to lock me back up for not paying all this money even though i pay what i can. i live at my parents to give them everything. all the while baby mama living large new cars huge house all her booze and i pay for her my kids her boyfriend and his 2 kids to go places new phone etc. |
