Try getting support from a father in IN if you live elsewhere.

My ex-husband lives in IN and our 3 children and myself live in PA. He only has an order for 200.00 a month because at the time the order was issued (4.5 years after we left) I requested a smaller amount rather than the full entitlement in order to keep the peace. I figured that if I did that he wouldn't take it out on the kids by not seeing them. Yeah that worked - he never paid support voluntarily and his wages were garnished. Now he's on unemployment and they are not taking the ordered support from that because it is a non-reciprocating state. If they are oh so concerned about the welfare of the child why do they allow fathers to hide behind the state's choice?
It's been 5 years since he's seen them - I'm not sure he'd know them to trip over them. His justification for not visiting or staying in contact is because of my lack of sending pictures or them doing the work to keep in contact - heck we don't know his actual address or a phone number - I can only get in touch with him through his step-mother by asking her to have him call. Who's going to pay for the school pictures when he doesn't even pay support, I don't even buy them for myself. I'm supporting our 3 children and myself on my income - a whole 23,600 a year gross and I'm supposed to be spending money on things for him or going out there to visit at my expense...
Okay I'll stop venting.
If Anyone out there has any info about how to get IN to do the right thing.. let me know!! THANKS!!!
