Me and my ex-wife were together for 12 years and had two kids. After years of her partying and not paying bills to support our family and bingo nights three times a week she decided that she had enough and it was time to call it quits. I came up with a plan that allowed us both to see OUR kids (KEY WORD)50/50. I moved into the same apartments as her, which was almost an hour from my job so we both could keep them 3 1/2 days per week and I paid all of the daycare expenses. I made an attempt to basically go beyond what was fair. Well after two years of this agreement she decided that I wasn't doing enough. Basically she was tired of making $10.00 per hour and because of the flaw in the justice system she decided it was time to get paid. We went to mediation twice and she was denied both times due to the proof I had paying daycare expenses and keeping them 50% of the time, clothes etc. So she moved an hour and a half away from my job and an hour from her's to make it impossible for me two work and take them to school. I still tried to keep them half the time and after paying daycare and $600-$700 a month in gas @3.00 a gallon, and payday loan after payday loan I was totally broke.

Too broke to afford a lawyer she files the necessary papers and the judge talked to me like deadbeat dad trash and awarded her half of my pay. Reality is %25 of net pay if 50% of what you take home, and now I get to play weekend dad. The judge was extremely pissed that I had objections to his ruling lol He said that "I should enjoy my freedom, and I would no longer be bothered with having to take care of them pesky kids". He acted as if he was doing me a favor!! It's hard not to get frustrated, and it's depressing. She quit her job about two months after she was awarded my money and has told me that she has no plans of working ever again. The attorney general and judge didn't care to hear my story then and definitely not now. And my kids get to call me EVERY night crying begging me to come and get them from their bi-polar mom who scream and curses at them all day. I hate this country.

My boyfriend is lucky to have an ex supported by her rich daddy.

So my boyfriend receive an order to pay over $700 for 1 child, which he spends well over 3 days with. I was smart enough to help him file a modification which was free, while in court his ex reported a huge amount of expense but only reporting a few thousands, when asked by child support services how she was making ends meet, ex stated her father which she is partners with was paying for everything. OPPPS for her because they counted all that money toward her earning putting her over my boyfriends income, lowering his child support to less than $200. Now she is trying to not allow his to fight for joint legal custoday by harrassing to go after back pay when they had an agreemt to wait till he was a little older to start paying, and now he's a little older and afraid of losing her constant manipulation if my boyfriends fights for his right which most likely he would be granted. So now she is harrassing with pay back which there is not laws to when she can request it as being owed. I can't believe it.

Wow I guess Im not the only one..... I spent 10 months in Iraq when I got home she didnt want to be married said she was happier with me gone.... so we started a disilution that didnt work $700 a month wasnt enough for my 2 kids??? when we went to court the judge felt the same , treated me like a criminal and acted as if he was some communist dictator. they used fabricated numbers to calculate my pay at about 10k higher per year?? the suppor im currentlly paying is 1100 a month yea, i make 50k a year. GOD BLESS AMERICA......

Maybe you should ask for a child advocate to be assigned to your child support case. This will be an unbiased person, evaluating what is in the best interest of the children. They'll interview the children, both parents, and review other issues. The can provide a report to the courts and maybe a determination by this court-appointed person will assist you in unveiling the ungoing problems. Many times, the children's desires, as well as, the truth can work in your behalf. Call your local courthouse and ask for contact information. Call them and ask for assistance. Maybe this advocate can determine in the mental health arena, if your ex is staying stable through medication regime and support services. If she is neglecting her own stability it may be serious issue to be addressed. Educate yourself about bipolar disorder to better understand your ex and how this disease can adversly affect family dynamics.Get your children in a family support group through their local mental health support group. NAHMI. Get yourself involved in parent to parent support groups to better cope with the co-relationship you have with your ex. These classes are of no cost to you and will open a window to understanding why things are the way they are. This will help you better prepare for management of new issues that arise with your ex.

that is a sad thing, it seems to be the courts who think they know best, why is it they like to tell evryone it's what best for the children, when they really don't know, i do pray you find some justice, maybe you can get some help from a daddys rights group, had one tell me 1100.00 would be they fee, if you need more info, let me hear from you, michaelcherry59@yahoo.com
