After my divorce I was sending my ex-wife money through the mail. Later, I get a letter from the AG stating that I had not been paying child support. I brought them the receipts to prove that I was, but I was told that because I mailed the money directly to my ex, that Texas considered that money a "gift" and not child support. So, I was being sued for $3000.00 in back child support.

I was so angry that I moved to Arizona and didn't pay the child support for 3 years. Later, Texas started garnishing my check, and then added $150.00 in back child support deduction. I paid both for 6 years. Then, I called to see what the pay off balance was. They told me $14,000!!!! Apparently they were charging me interest on the child support, but at a rate of 12%. This means that they were charging me $155 in interest, but only charging me $150 in back child support. Sooo, for 6 years my debt increased!

I have paid the back child support since 2000. Today, the balance is still $15,000 even though I have paid back way more than I have ever owed. My ex hasn't worked at all during the past 14 years and continues to live off of the money that I send of child support. Even though my daughter is now married. How does Texas reason this out and thank that it's ok? Now, they have placed this on my credit, have taken my tax returns for years, and treat me as though I have never paid anything. Texas sucks big time.

Ok I'm a woman married to a man that was divorced with a child when i met him. He was paying his Ex and everything was fine. well one of her friends saw us out on a date and a week later child support is calling him saying she opened a case with them and told them he never paid anything and she didn't have reseipts to show that he did pay... now it didn'y matter to them that he had them, only her ? really? that is the most messed up crap I've ever seen your giving a piissed off woman that kind of power over a man ? So now she gets back at both of us now because her little lie takes away from my Children and thats just messed up. The US needs to fix this kind of crap! I have always worked and did whatever to make sure my kids are taken care of and don't depend on anyone else. Women like this make me sick they wanted to equal all these years ... but not on this no men have to pay for getting us pregnate and then when we don't want them anymore they still have to pay !!! Cuz somehow we are better now. and no fathers you can't have your kids. they only belong to there mothers even if the mother *is* a crack head she can always get out of rehab and take them back from you. Why can't men have just as much right to custody of the kids? No they only have the right to pay for them only. No ladies you wanted it equal well let's make it equal men should get together and sue the hell outta the U.S. for discrimanation!!~ I'd show up for it

back child support ( + interest) is a form of slavery. A ball and chain. the interest grows faster than the ability to pay off the debth. we have to somehow stand together and fight this demon and rapest.

I paid WI for the first 2 years now 10 years later They say I am behind. Well 3 years back I went to court and got them too ecept the money I set her when my support began. On that 7 years of money they will not give me the 12 % intrest thats 3000.00 what right do they have to make me pay intrest on money she has been paid. and they agury with me that I paid her but will not take out the intrest. This sucks.

I do agree we need to band together and fight this unfair system. I watch guys get divorce in the Army, god forbid if they have a kid. They pay child support and alimony.Once they retire they give up a percentage of their retirement. Women don't have to work when the system work for them. Most women get child support move to another state where the father can't visit during the weekend. I watch the Child Support Division bankrupt men let the women raise the kids,when the kids become grown up's the Criminal Justice system recycle them back in the system. I been in every single war we had since 1990 and the only thing I am scared of in this world is child support. Men we need to fight this injustice for our kids and our way of life.

Welcome to the unfair, unjust and unconstitutional child support world. Like I have been telling everyone we need to stand against the governement and this unfair law. We as men need to stand together and say enough is enough. The women have band together to knock it to us in child support and are winning all the way because there is not enough men trying to stand up for our rights as fathers. It seems no men want to get involved until they are in the system getting screwed. I say all men weather they are in a happy relationship or not need to stand and fight against this unconstitutional law. If its not happening to you yet it will if you have children and something goes wrong in your relationship. We all know that most relationships don't work out so us men better wake up and smell the coffe, we are all being screwed not only out of our money but out of our childrens lives as well. Write your congressmen, form a dimistration, write your govenor, president what ever it takes but we must have this law changed before it gets any worse. I mean the laws are so screwed they have men paying for children thats not even theres. the couirts act like we took out a loan from these mothers and we have to pay it back at a high interest rate. We need some kind of 2 million man march to tell the governement that this is not exceptible. Good Luck because as long as we do nothing the more this will go on. Come on men stop hidding in fear and lets stand up for whats right, we are not there money bags or there retirement funds. Women are just as cappable as men, they need to stop acting like they are poor defenseless little beings. And the governement needs to stay out of our personnal lives.
