We live in the same house so why does he have to pay???

So me and my boyfriend are living in the same house and have been for the past 3 years. We had our son about 5 months ago and because we are not married the state (tn) is going after him for child support. I have talked to my local child support office and told them that I don't want child support because we do plan to get married we just have some things to work out first. So after doing that and filing an oder to stop support we (he) still got a letter from the court house saying that if he doesn't pay $175 then our son will lose his insurance (tenncare). I called the court house and the child support office and they both told me that this has to be paid, okay whatever but what really makes me mad is that I have another child with another man...we dated for several years, had a baby and then he turned into a big piece of sh*t, he has not seen her or even talked to her since she was born which is totally fine with me I don't want nothing to do with him but I want his money for all the crap he has put me through he owes that to me and MY daughter, but anyway it took me almost 2 years to get any child support from him. No one wanted to help me when I wanted child support but now when I don't they will not leave me alone and I have to pay! The court system is BULL SH*T!!! Please if you have gone through this, help me!
