Texas isn't known for it's child support enforcement. It's known for executing innocent people and not caring. I didn't receive child support payments for years until I went to the D.A.'s office and filed for arrearages as there were no "deadbeat dad" laws in effect until a certain year to assist my case. I thought the employee was going to go into an epileptic fit when she heard my story. There are still actions one may take in TX and certainly starting a letter writing campaign to your governor, district representative and congressperson are all steps. I wrote a five page letter to Senator Boxer outlining all my housing issues. She happens to be my senator for CA. That went to her Regional Office in San Francisco that called me and sent out a letter to the Owner of my building and City Housing. They are now answerable to her for what they won't fix for me. The "squeeky wheel gets the grease". I'm here to tell you, it does.
