What About Dead Beat Moms?

My story is that of reverse discrimination. While in the Army I was awarded sole custody of my 2-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son after a divorce proceeding that took two years. I spent the last nine years in the military as a single parent devoting my time to raising my children and having to work a second job to clear up debts which my estranged wife created. It was in my best interest to do so because in the Military excessive debt is grounds for released from military service.
I was determined to raise my children and finish my last nine years of service. Although the court ordered the biological mother to pay child support, she has never paid a dime of support. As recently as 2007 I petitioned the state of Louisiana to bring her to court regarding the arrearage owed--$86,000.00. The Louisiana Child support services petitioned the State of Mississippi where she resides on her 65-acre horse ranch and requested that the Mississippi court ask her to answer to child abandonment ( non-support).
Due to back-logged child support cases, it took them approximately 1 year to get her into court. Now, 2 years later, she has appeared in court, has requested and has been granted one continuance after another. So I naturally asked if I would have been able to ignore a court order for support and moreover, would I be allowed to appear in court owing any amount of support and be given not one, but 2 continuances. I believe we all know the answer to that. The law is titled The Dead Beat Dad Act. Even when a man stands by his responsibilities, not only is he treated as though he is not a man, but treated worse than those for whom the Law was named.
Its hard enough for any man to have custody of his children it is even harder for a man who does to be treated properly So if there is any Law firm who is willing to help me fight this system please do so ( gerardlogan@yahoo.com )
