My daughter was born in 1994. Her mother and I seperated about a year later. For two years My daughter and I spent nearly every weekend together. After one of the visits she called me on the phone and said she was leaving the state-Arizona to Michigan-with my daughter in a few days. I found her after six months. And petioned the court for help in reestablishing conntact. During the proceedings child support enforcment began garnishing my wages-they took half of what I made. I took on a second job but they garnished that job too. I kept afloat for a few months but soon lost everything and had to move with family in another state without getting court ordered visitation. After going between states working and paying child support but not being able to support myself.

I tried to move closer to where she took my daughter so that I could afford visitation. I was able to find work and live within 20 miles of where she lived. The courts however would not help to establish visitation due to complex jurisdictional issues. I left. Since then I have not seen my daughter. Twelve years have past. I have never stopped trying or complained about the arrears. it should be more. But things have never worked out. My problem is with how my daughters mother can enforce a wage assignment from a different jurisdiction, but when I go to where she has taken my daughter, I can't even go to court to establish contact... Wjat makes my bllod boil is they just sent me a letter that they may or may not provide additional notice before coming to arrest me for that arrearage even if it's is paid off. I beg them to come. I got something for them! Don't tread on me!
