WHAT IS CHILD SUPPORT?

by NIECEE
(TEXAS)

I WAS RAISED BY A SINGLE MOTHER WITH 6 SIBLINGS WITHOUT CHILD SUPPORT. HER ONLY SUPPORT WAS HARD WORK, IN WHICH SOME OF THESE CHILD SUPPORT DEPENDANT MOTHERS COULD HELP THE ECONOMY OUT ON. I'M NOT A FATHER BUT A WOMAN WHO KNOW, SOME GUYS STEP UP AND TAKE CARE OF THIER
RESPONSIBILITIES. I MARRIED A GUY WHO TOOK THE INITATIVE TO APPLY HIMSELF (BEFORE ME). HE ALWAYS PAY ON TIME,GIVE HER MONEY WHEN INCOME TAXES COME IN, AND STILL BUY AS THE CHILD NEEDS.(NO, I'M NOT THE TYPE OF WOMAN TO CAUSE PROBLEMS OR COME BETWEEN A MAN AND HIS CHILD.  MY FATHER NEVER STEPPED UP.)THE KID HAS ALWAYS DISOWNED HIS OWN MOTHER, STATING ALL THE THINGS SHE DON'T AND WON'T DO. HE STAYED WITH THE FATHER'S MOTHER FOR SOMETIME AND WHEN SHE DECIDED ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH AND REPORTED THAT THE CHILD WAS LIVING WITH HER, THE MOM REMOVED THE CHILD, CHANGING HIS SCHOOL, STARTED PROVIDING LITTLE THINGS THAT THE CHILD NEEDED.  NOW THE CHILD WANTS TO LIVE WITH US (IN A DIFFERENT TOWN)
TEXAS CHILD SUPPORT LAW HOLDS BOTH PARENTS EQUALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR CHILD CARE.

I THINK ITS UNFAIR THAT THE SUPPORT FOR CHILD CARE IS NOT BEING ESTABLISHED FOR THE CHILD'S WELL BEING, ISN'T THAT WHAT CHILD SUPPORT SUPPOSE TO PROVIDE?

I KNOW I'M NOT ALONE ON THIS BUT I THINK THE ATTORNEY GENERAL NEEDS TO CHANGE SOME LAWS.
