This is so true. What can a single mother do? The dead beat dad gets off scott free. They don't have to deal with the struggle of looking into your kid's eye and say that we don't have enough because dad didn't come through this week. Not to mention that if you work two jobs to just get by, the state will offer no help. I would have to be a dead beat, no job, food stamp begger to get any help from the state. What is wrong with this process? Someone help this ass-backwards state called Mississippi.

Men Make The Law by: Gary
It is sad that things are like they are, that some men don't have to take responsible for the family they started and the courts are so lenient towards the needs of the single parents. But men make the laws. Hopefully with women getting more power as time goes on things will change. Hopefully SOON.

IT'S NOT FAIR!!! I AGREE!!! by: Laura
IT ISN'T FAIR...THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING THE HARDEST ARE ALWAYS BEATEN DOWN BY THE SYSTEM. I FEEL PARENTS WHO DESERT THEIR CHILDREN WHETHER IT BE FINACIALLY OR PHYSICALLY SHOULD LOSE ALL PARENTAL RIGHTS IMMEDIATELY UNTIL PAID UP.

Try the other shoe... by: Anonymous
Try being the man who's wife decided to have multiple affairs with other men and some women. Of course, the court does not want to hear that. They said that my little girl belongs with her mother. I lost my family, and because I am a male, no one cares anything about it. I am supposed to not care that my little girl is put through this. I am not supposed to care that the courts say that visitation is enough. I am not supposed to miss her running up to me when I come home from work. I am not supposed to miss her... But I am supposed to help support my Ex-wife's household, which now includes another husband and a grand total of 7 children. My daughter is somehow better off in this well-fare family than with me. Moral: IT HURTS ON BOTH SIDES, AND THERE ARE JUST AS MANY BAD WOMEN AS MEN.
