FROM THE WAY IT SEEMS, WHEN A CHILD IS BORN, THE FATHER HAS NO RIGHTS TO IT AT ALL, WHY IS THAT, I MEAN IT HIS BLOOD AN HIS CREATION. I HONESTLY DONT THINK ITS RIGHT THE WAY SOME MEN GET TREATED TOWARDS THEIR KIDS, I HATE IT, THE CHILD SUPPORT SYSTEM IS ALL B.S., IT SEEM THAT ALL A WOMAN HAS TO DO IS GO TO A COURT ROOM AN SAY THEY WANT CHILD SUPPORT AN THEY GET IT AN DONT NEED IT AT ALL, THE STATE DOESNT DO A CHECK WHY THE WOMAN WANTS IT AN THEY DONT CARE, THEY JUST ASSUME THAT THE FATHER ISNT DOING ANYTHING FOR THE CHILD WHEN THEY ARE WRONG, SOME WOMEN JUST DO IT BECAUSE ITS A FREE CHECK OR THE RELATIONSHIP HAS ENDED OR SOME ARE JUST REALLY EVIL AND DONT CARE, AN THEN THE FATHER, HE MIGHT GET LOCKED UP AN THEN THEY CANT SEE THE CHILDREN AT ALL. THE STATE DOESNT CARE AT ALL, THEY ARE ALL THE SAME AND SOMETHING REALLY NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS SYSTEM CAUSE ITS RUINING ALOTTA PEOPLES LIVES FOR NOTHING, FOR THE DEAD BEAT DADS, YEAH, I UNDERSTAND, BUT FOR THE MEN WHO LOVE AN WANNA TAKE CARE AN SEE THEIR CHILDREN, I HATE THE WAY WE ARE BEING TREATED, AN SEEMS PRESIDENT OBAMA DOESNT CARE EITHER CAUSE ALL MEN ARENT THE SAME, MAYBE HE SHOULD LOOK INTO THE CHILD SUPPORT B.S. MORE, CAUSE MEN ARENT BEING TREATED RIGHT AT ALL AN I HATE IT. THE STATE OF VIRGINIA IS THE WORST IF YOU ASK ME, LOOK AT THE STATE FLAG, ITS A WOMAN STANDING OVER A MAN, THATS B.S., BUT WE HAVE NO ONE TO STAND UP FOR US BUT OURSELVES.

It is always the man's fault

I've been in a relationship with a man for over a year now. We met at work when he was in the middle of a break up with a women. She often would pull into the parking lot, follow him home, and constantly harass him. She was one of those "fatal attrations" who would not take "No!I do not want to be with you!" for an answer. They had met on the internet a year prior, she openly admitted to having other sexual partners during their relationship, and she lives about a hundred miles away. He was misarable with her, and she with him though her letting him go was not an option in her mind. She came over to his home after their break up and cried she was pregnant. And last October she supposedly gave birth to his baby. exactly nine months later(Upon her uttering the words "But I'm pregnant," he had made it perfectly clear to her that he did not want this child, that it was a mistake, that there were other options, that he would not be active in this childs life). He recieved a letter from the FOC recently informing him to call them, upon calling them, their first question to him was, "do you just want to go ahead and be deemed the father?" He had to request a DNA test. Now he is going to have to pay for a DNA test (the courts say even if the child is not his, they will decide if he pays.) Now if the child is his, he is going to automatically be behind in child support, he is going to have to go in front of a judge that is going to look at him like he is scum, he is going to have to pay for this child for eighteen years that he never wanted. Now, I am not blaming the child, it is the innocent victim in all of this. However, I am wondering why it is always the man's fault in the courts eyes? Why is the mother of this baby not scolded for not using protection? Why isn't she held just as accountable for her actions as he is his? The man is always looked upon as the dead beat, when the women is looked at like she was raped or something? Why is it acceptable for a women to put her baby up for adoption, but a man can't say he dosen't want one? I know this baby needs to be supported, I know he should have made sure to use the proper precautions, but why does a man have no say so before a child is born that he dosen't want it. Women have abortions all the time, even when the father begs and pleads that he wants the baby, he still has no say so. It is just a huge mess that could have been avoided. I feel that the women should be made to feel that it is just as much her fault that they are in the situation they are in, just as our court system makes the men feel they are to blame.

To the ones that think Father's have more Rights

You all need to wake up and stop dreaming, I don't know what plant your living one but... Here on Earth Women have more rights when it come to child support... To the mother that had her children taken away you aren't telling us the whole story because if you had a good job, they don't just take your kids away... Women get everything handed to the on a silver plater, while men don't get visitation when they are supposed to, get taken to court every other month and child support gets raised, the courts never listen to the man it is always poor poor pitiful mother!!!! Y' all Need to stop your Bitchin, and work together to make it equal for both sides. We all have complains. But I've gotten to the point why don't we all work together, to fix this horriable system, our bitchen at each other hasn't gotten us anywhere, HAS IT!!!!

ok im sorry i have a 12 yo son emailing me begging to live with me i am married have a good job have been married for 8 years my ex has had about 15 diff. men in the last 2-3 years but will the court help me HELL no they wont so dont bitch about fathers haveing more rights.....

What about mother's rights??

@ the lady who said that fathers have more rights. You can't be serious. What state do you live in, or planet for that matter.I've never personally been in family court. My sons mother gets more than the court will mandate, she isn't stupid. However I have to kiss here ass and walk on pins and needles just to be active in my childs life.If I had any faith the courts would be fair and impartial I would have been let the courts handle this matter. I live in NY and I believe that going to the courts for custody/and or visitation will only make matters worse.Since I'll have a angry baby mother and no protection from the court. What do I do?

Did you say fathers has more rights? You are smoking way too much drungs. I am a great dad and I take care of my daughter BUT her mom keeps taking my daughter away. Will the courts punish her? Probably not! If I did not pay child support, my ass would be in jail. Yes, the laws need to be change but do not say fathers has more rights.

MY SOON TO BE EX RUNS A CONSTRUCTION COMPANY AND WE HIRE MOSTLY MEN. I AM QUITE AWARE OF MEN WHO MOVE FROM JOB TO JOB AND STATE TO STATE BECAUSE THEY WOULD RATHER NOT SUPPORT WHAT THEY HELPED TO PRODUCE . MY SOON TO BE EX-HUSBAND THOUGHT THESE MEN WERE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH. NOW THAT WE ARE GETTING DIVORCED HE'S ACTING JUST LIKE THEM. COULD IT BE THAT A MALE'S INSTINCT IS THAT AS LONG AS THEY AND THE MOTHER OF THEIR CHILDREN ARE NO LONGER TOGETHER THEY FEEL THEY HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY TO THEIR CHILDREN ANYMORE? WHY SHOLD SOMEONE HAVE TO PUT YOUR BEHIND ON CHILD SUPPORT ANYWAY? THERE ARE MEN WHO TAKE CARE OF THEIR OOFSPRING WITHOUT BEEN HUNTED DOWN LIKE WILD ANIMALS.

Yea, ya know what, maybe Obama should look into the bs child support guidelines!! I am SOOOOOO sorry for you!! What a pathetic story you gave on here!! It makes me want to vomit!! Listen here!!! I am a mother of 2 children, and I was FORCED to pay child support, because I have a decent job!! What a bunch of bullshit!! So, I really don't want to hear any of your wining and crying, and complaints about the child support system!! Quite frankly, IT IS ALL ABOUT THE FATHERS these days!! More and more mothers are losing custody of their children because they work outside the home, and make a decent living!!! I was slammed by the judicial system, because I have a very secure Government job.. however, I was working nights, and according to the courts, that was disruptive to my kids, so my ex-husband gets primary custody??? So now, mothers are looked down upon for creating a stable, secure home for their family, and in a sense, punished for having a job!!! THAT, my friend, is complete bullshit!!Also, why is it, that the cild support I pay, is taxed, but my ex can have it free and clear, and not claim it as income???That is a bunch of crap!! And now, I hAVE A DAY JOB, SEE MY KIDS THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME.. IF NOT MORE THAN BEFORE... STILL SPEND MORE MONEY ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT I PAY IN CHILD SUPPORT, AND still CANNOT GET IT REDUCED?? yOUR RIGHT!! lAWS have TO BE CHANGED... FOR THE INTEREST OF THE unlucky MOTHER LIKE MYSELF!!So, you need to step back and take a closer look at the big picture!! Father's have WAY more rights these days than mother's do!! That's a fact!!
